Leadership

President - Timothy Vowell

Timothy J. Vowell serves as the President of Relationships for Christ Ministries, and as a founding Board Member, a position he has held since starting the social missions organization over 9 years ago.  RFC Ministries is a worldwide Christian ministry dedicated to reaching out to unsaved people through the power of relationships. Timothy has dedicated his life to empowering local church leaders around the world to partner with their communities to touch the lives of hurting people.

A father of two, Timothy has been married for over 26 years to his best friend and love Melissa Vowell.  Both Timothy and Melissa have been blessed to see their children grow up with a love for God and to see their son Brenden accept a call to ministry and work alongside them in Relationships for Christ Ministries.

In addition Timothy serves as the pastor of Faith Family Fellowship a non-denominational Church located in The Woodlands, Texas.  Faith Family Fellowship is a new church plant less than 4 years old.

Timothy has been described as friend, leader, mentor, missionary, and pastor.  He comes to ministry after an extensive career in retail management with several national companies.  Familiar with both business and ministry, he offers special insight into leadership, mentoring, and leader development that is applicable in a wide variety of situations.  His personal philosophy is that leaders powered by the Love of Christ and the anointing of the Holy Spirit really can change their world!

Vice President - Scott Hescht

Scott Hescht

Hi, I'm Scott Hescht. It is an honor and a privilege to serve as a member of Relationships for Christ Ministries. Nothing excites me more than the opportunity to love on other people and point them in the way of Jesus Christ. I get to do that on a regular basis at RFC as we seek to empower others to fulfill their purpose in God's Kingdom.

I am also a pastor at Life Spring Church in Spring, TX and founder of the internet resource/devotional, Psalm 22 Ministries. I'm the husband to a beautiful wife, Courtney, and the father of two little boys, Zane and Daxton. I love reading, writing, graphic design, and pretty much all things creative. Bring up the topic of sports and you've got a friend for life. I also love to teach and preach God’s Word to anyone who will listen. I strive to be a constant learner as well, understanding that education isn’t something that we receive, but rather a lifelong journey. Above all, I strive to be a friend to those around me, seeking to be a light for Christ despite my own shortcomings.

Vice President - Brenden Vowell

Hey everyone, I’m Brenden Vowell.  It is so great to be called by God to love His people and I can’t tell you enough how RFC Ministries does just that.  Every day I can see how RFC is changing lives around the world through “Missions Possible” and “Project Samuel”.  I am currently working in Zambia as the Missions Coordinator for Relationships for Christ Ministries, Inc. at Project Samuel.  I feel so privileged to be a part of a great team that is doing something in the world.

I haven’t always been in ministry though and most of my experience comes from three years as a tax office teller and five years working with a large church in the Houston area.  As I look back on many of those experiences, I can’t help but see how God was shaping my life into what it is today.  He has qualified me for the calling that he has placed on my life and I know that it is Him who has led me to the mission’s field today.  I grew up in church and was called to ministry well before that but didn’t realize it until I spent several weeks on a missions trip to Zambia.

I’m also very grateful that He has given me a mother and father who have followed Gods every command and have shown his love not only to myself and my sister Katie, but also to all of those they come into contact with everyday of the week.  Some of my favorite things are photography, muscle cars, and movies.  I also love to travel and minister on the missions field.

Vice President - Peggy Pate Bridges

Hello, I’m Peggy Bridges.  It has been exciting, and so very rewarding to be a member of the Relationships for Christ Ministries team.  The joy of seeing what can be accomplished through the relationships we have established, first with the Lord, and then with others, is indescribable.  I am proud to be a part of a constant, on-going effort to reach those who are hurting and lost.

I live alone and have two wonderful sons, and a precious grandson.  I have been a real estate broker for 30 years, and for most of that time, I was not attending a church.  In 1999 that all changed, and by 2005 I was feeling a call to ministry in Africa. In the ensuing years, the Lord completely prepared me and my family for the next step, full time ministry. Next month I am retiring from real estate and joining the Project Samuel team in Zambia, Africa.

Project Samuel has been a big part of my life and dreams for over 6 years now. So, the privilege the Lord has given me to live out the dreams and visions he has put in my heart fills me with gratitude.  I have had a full, rich life, but the prospect of serving the Lord full time is the most exciting thing that has ever happened in my life.  I see the wonderful progress going on at Project Samuel, and I can hardly wait to be part of it.  I know the next years will be the best part of my life.

Besides my work with Relationships For Christ Ministries, I have been active in my local church.  For the past four years I have been a member of Faith Family Fellowship in South Montgomery County.

Missionary - Chris Poole

My Name is Chris Poole and I'm 24 years old and I serve as director of The Road To Bogota in Columbia South America. In November of 2009 I was delivered from a life of addiction and alcoholism and dedicated my life the Lord and serving His Kingdom. In June 2011, I was invited by a family friend to go on a missions trip to Bogota, Colombia.  I spent 10 days with God's beautiful children and after the first few days I knew my life would be changed forever.

I returned back to the United States and began selling everything I owned. I moved out of my apartment, sold all the furniture, my electronics, and even my once most prized possession, my 2004 Ford Mustang. All of a sudden worldly treasures no longer meant anything to me; all I wanted was to be back in Colombia serving His children.

Now I live full time in Bogota, Columbia and work with the orphanages of Fundacion para un Mundo Nuevo (Foundation For A New World) making disciples among the abandoned and at risk children they serve.

I hope to bring hope to these children through our Savior Jesus Christ. And although I cannot personally father and love them all, I can bring them to know someone that can, someone that can give them closure, hope, love, strength, peace, and rest. The one that did the same for me!
